Monday-Friday: Mornings devotions are held for all staff and Mexican volunteer workers from the local community. This is a great opportunity to start the day out in praise; as well as a way to reach our volunteers with the gospel.

Thursday Night: Is a time for staff and children to get together to share in praising the Lord in song and in the Scriptures. During this year many of the Colina kids have learned how to “play” a musical instrument. The majority of them do quite well, others still need practice, but that doesn’t stop them from participating just the same. The service consists of song, praise, prayer requests and Bible study. For CHRISTmas we received two very nice djimbe drums and some bongos. The kids take turns in using them during the song service. Even the smallest kids participate with tambourines, or small instruments.

Friday Night: Continues to be devotion time for the ladies. The men and children enjoy a video together upstairs, while the ladies take turn sharing; each one leads for a week period. It’s a great time of fellowship for the “Moms” at Colina de Luz.

Sunday Afternoon: After a trip to the store, it’s time for a church service. Usually Jim teaches after a time of song and praise. We have adapted a question game, which consists of four teams. After the service we see who was paying attention. Our kids love competition, and have learned so much more knowing the game follows. We have such a diversified age group we found this work well for us.
